CFDRC is actively developing databases and simulation tools to meet the
needs of clients that rely on chemical processes, including the semiconductor,
automotive, and power industries. We can provide the critical, difficult
to obtain information such as thermodynamic data and reaction rate constants
for novel chemical compounds. Armed with this information, together with
our customers we can utilize our coupled chemical species transport and
reaction, fluid dynamics, and thermal simulation tools to:
- analyze and optimize existing processes
- optimize sensor placement for monitoring and control
- scale bench top and pilot systems to production
- evaluate the feasibility of new processes
A particular CFDRC strength in this area is rapid analysis of heterogeneous
reactors employing solid-supported catalysts.
