CFDRC offers modeling expertise and Nano-Scale
Technology CAD (NanoTCAD) research software, a comprehensive suite
of semiconductor device modeling tools (2D or 3D), for simulation, analysis,
design, and optimization of wide variety of modern devices, including
silicon and heterostructures, bipolar and MOSFETs, optoelectronics, as
well as nanoelectronic and quantum devices. Comprehensive
models of photonic/optoelectronic devices
are available for lasers (VCSELs, edge-emitting) and photodetectors.

Radiation Effects and Radiation Hardening
Reliable modeling methods and simulation codes are the basis for the
development of our future CAD tools for the emerging Nano-Molecular Electronic
Devices. These include carbon nanotubes, nanowires, and molecular-electronics
based sensors (chemical, biological, etc.). CFDRC offers expertise in
development of high-quality and user-friendly Multi-Scale Modeling Tools
for Nano-Molecular Electronic Devices, mostly based on nanotubes and nanowires,
but generally applicable to any molecule-based nanoelectronic and bioelectronic
devices.
The 3D numerical simulations can be used for deriving better compact/behavioral
models for circuit or system-level analysis and design.
