CAD Drafter/Engineer

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to support inter-disciplinary R&D projects in aerospace & defense, biomedical & life sciences and energy & materials. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Create and modify complex drawings, documents, and/or schematics
  • Perform QA/QC checks including compliance with all applicable specifications such as CAD standards, customer drawings or vendor requirements
  • Catalogue and maintain drawing lists/folders including revisions and database updates
  • Interface with production/shop personnel to facilitate fabrication

Job Requirements:

  • Proficient using one or more types of drawing applications (e. g., SolidWorks, Inventor); 2+ years of relevant experience is required
  • Familiarity with complex drawings such as, but not limited to, piping, instrument diagrams, electrical schematics and general drawings
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written communication, to prepare summaries and other documentation materials
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a stimulating, multi-disciplinary, cutting edge science and engineering environment
  • US citizenship is required.
