Director/Vice President for  DHS and DoD Programs

CFD Research Corporation is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead business development through large application projects from DHS, DoD and affiliated industry organizations. CFDRC is a technology-rich, small business and is ready for technology insertions and applications into various defense programs.  Opportunity and target applications include one or more of the following areas:

  • Chem-Bio Protection: Design, development and testing of application-specific biochips and microfluidics solutions.  Adaptation and integration of CFDRC developed and patented designs and biology-driven systems software into hardware systems. Advanced simulations for critical infrastructure protection and better safety protocols against CBRN/E.
  • Soldier Protection and Military Medicine: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) from blast wave exposures; better helmet and protective armors, and systematic parametric studies of various organs, diseases, diagnosis and treatment protocols by using CFDRC’s predictive biosimulations software and expertise.
  • Space Radiation effects: Simulations and analysis at device-physics and full-scale circuit levels for Radiation Hardening & Extreme Environment Electronics
  • Missile and Aviation propulsion and power: New concepts, and components and system analysis, development, test and evaluation.

The selected executive will also participate in relevant projects to ensure excellent work quality, customer satisfaction, market relevance and continuous follow-on business.

The main requirements for this position include:

  • Proven track record of success with growing responsibilities in an R&D, engineering services or military organization.
  • Ability to understand R&D managers and engineers, and provide positive Leadership to assist in effective project management and appreciation of engineering /business/marketing need and practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Ability to access government programs and associated managers, relevant to CFDRC technologies will be a strong plus, and the experience of working with classified projects will be considered favorably.
