Manager/Director for Soldier Protection & Military Medicine Projects

CFD Research Corporation is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead one or more of the high visibility, multi-year research projects being conducted in collaboration with U.S. defense organizations.  These projects are related with:

  • Studies of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) from Blast Exposures.
  • Military medicine, trauma and treatment
  • Development of improved helmets and protective armor.
  • Improvement of Bone Conduction Communication Systems
  • Predictive biosimulations software and solutions to facilitate systematic parametric studies of various organs, diseases, diagnosis and treatment protocols.
  • Chem-bio defense technologies.

Most of the projects require computer simulations of biomechanics and human body physiology and complimentary experimental studies, as well as collaborations with DOD medical labs, academic clinical labs and medical professionals.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Engineering, Science or Medicine.
  • 10+ years experience in conducting and managing R&D projects.
  • Experience in preparation and coordination of large BAA proposals
  • Proven track record of success with growing responsibilities in an R&D, engineering services or military organization.
  • Provide positive leadership and effective project management by working closely with CFDRC project engineers and R&D managers.
  • Experience in maintaining effective customer relationships and engineering, business and marketing practices to facilitate continuous business growth.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Ability to access government programs and associated managers, relevant to CFDRC technologies will be a strong plus.   Prior experience in military organizations will be considered favorably.
