Combustion/Fuel Nozzle Research Engineer

Engineer will design, analyze, guide fabrication, and experimentally test prototype liquid/gaseous fuel injectors for combustion systems. Innovative designs will be developed using 3D spray combustion CFD analysis. Candidate should have extensive fuel nozzle/combustor hardware design experience in a research environment, and be able to proceed from conception to rig test verification. The candidate should be creative, and have an entrepreneur spirit. Experience in gas turbine/augmentor research is a plus. The position provides a challenging work environment with excellent opportunities for growth and advancement.

Requirements:

  • MS or PhD in Engineering with 5-15 years experience in fuel nozzle/combustor research or design.
  • Experience in CFD analysis of reacting flows with spray.
  • Good verbal, written, and oral communication skills are a must.
  • U. S. Citizen.
  • Combined hardware/analysis ability.
