COMBUSTION ENGINEER

This is a mid-level, non-management position focusing on design work and application of 3D modeling. This position will require close interaction with government and industry customers. Expected to write and publish technical reports and papers. Poised to supply responsive expert support and solutions when and where needed.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering
  • Eight years in combustion principles
  • Two or more years in experience in combustion testing
  • Experience with CFD modeling of chemically reacting flows
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Polished presentation skills a must

Job Function:

  • Perform applied research/design projects such as low emissions fuel injectors, active control of lean blowout, novel augmentor flameholders, quick-quench emissions probes, reaction chamber to measure volatile particles from engine exhaust, liquid jet-in-crossflow measurements etc. Design, fabrication and test of innovative concepts applied to the latest technological fields in aerospace.
