Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with expert knowledge of electrochemistry and a strong background in enzymatic chemistry, polymer and surface chemistry and/or nanotechnology. The job responsibilities include
Conduct experimental investigations to develop, characterize, test and evaluate the performance of new materials and electrodes.
Lead electrochemistry efforts on various research projects.
Job Requirements:
MS/PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field.
Laboratory experience with electrochemical characterization techniques (e.g. cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, battery characterization), enzyme immobilization methods and data acquisition hardware and software.
Experience with biological fuel cells and/or enzymatic electrochemical biosensors is preferred.
Solid analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
Good written and oral communication skills, ability to prepare research plans and summaries.
U.S. Citizenship is desired.
