| CFD Reseach Corporation collaborated with MIT
- Lincoln Labs on the development of a B-cell based microfluidic biosensor
for sample identification (near a single particle). Simulation based analyses
of various geometrical configurations showed that the design with B-cell
deployed on the surface of a post gave the best binding efficiency. The
figure shows antigen concentration contours for this configuration. The
binding achieved for various configurations is compared. Simulation based
analysis enabled a 15-fold increase in device sensitivity from the
existing design. |
