CFD-GEOM Examples

One of the salient features of CFD-GEOM is the scripting capability. It allows parametric scripts to be run with ease, i.e. taking simple design data and creating parametric geometry and meshes. The next example is a script for an automotive torque converter. On the left the original point data is shown, while on the right two instances of the 3D geometry are shown.

Optionally a customized graphical user interface can be created in the script. In the next figure a specialized graphical user interface for a golf ball geometry and mesh is shown. The end-user has a new custom application on top of CFD-GEOM with high level geometry and mesh parameters, and does not have to learn the underlying regular GUI options. This script can be used in SimManager for optimization purposes.

The following pictures show an example of the ACIS SAT interface.
