CFD-DTF: Data Transfer Facility

CFD-DTF is a library which provides a compact, platform independent, common file format custom tailored to CFD/CSD applications. CFD-DTF enables multi-disciplinary analyses by providing a file-based storage and transfer mechanism for data types commonly used in scientific engineering analysis.

The salient features of the CFD-DTF library are:

• Platform independent data exchange (binary files).
• Invoked by simple function calls from Fortran77/Fortran90/C/C++.
• Ported to all major PC and UNIX platforms.
• Support for domain decomposition (parallelization).
• Data can be viewed and edited from the command line with the DTF utility.
• Support for data compression
• Support for all commonly used grid schemes (multi-block structured, unstructured, and polyhedral grids) and other CFD data.
