CFD-FASTRAN employs state-of-the-art turbulence models for
predicting the effects of turbulence within boundary layers and within separation
regions. The following turbulence models are currently available:
- High Reynolds number k-e turbulence model
(with wall functions)
- Low Reynolds number k-w turbulence model*
- Balwin-Lomax turbulence model
- Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model
- Menter Shear Stress Transport (SST) turbulence model*
The figure below shows flow predictions for a missile at high AOA using
the k-e turbulence model
* These models are only available for unstructured meshes
