VP, IP and Technology Commercialization
Dr. Harrand joined CFDRC in 1991, and oversees technology commercialization efforts and R&D transitioning to DoD, NASA, other US Government agencies. He is responsible for CFDRC’s intellectual property and patent portfolio (55+ patents) and technology licensing. Previously, he was a lead manager in CFDRC’s commercial software division that was spun-off along with 45 employees to an International Software Company in 2004. Other corporate responsibilities include Deputy-Chief CMB Division, Software Technology Development, Technology Control Officer, Chairman of CFDRC’s Institutional Review Board (IRB). Dr. Harrand has Computer Science degrees from Univ. of Amsterdam and UA/Huntsville.
